Advanced Plastic Surgery Institute

Upon meeting with Dr. Josh Olson, a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon in May 2022, our objective was to create the architectural elements for both the exterior and interior design for a 20,000 sq. ft. world-class two-story Plastic Surgery Center and Ambulatory Surgery Center coupled with the Advanced Skin Lounge Med Spa.

Our vision was to introduce a unique two-story medical building dressed in black brick and white paint with touches of modernized European classic features. The heavy texture of the black brick alongside the very smooth white stucco created the perfect contrast and shadowing. Adding depth to the front of the building was a modern recreation of the 12th century flying buttresses.

Designing three separate types of businesses that operate within the same building, all working together on different levels, was a challenge. Working closely with Dr. Olson’s team allowed us to view the businesses from their perspective. Utilizing this knowledge, we created a cohesive and unique design that seamlessly blends the different areas of the Plastic Surgery Center, the Advanced Skin Lounge Med Spa and the Ambulatory Surgery Center. The result is modern-day interpretation of medical facilities that eschews old, predictable ideas.
